Well i was "inspired" by Katie over at "Crafting with Katie".. if you haven't ever been to her blog, you are definitely been missing out on a blessing... she is one creative young lady. I saw this over at her blog a while back and just fell in love with it, i think because of the purple... it was such a beautiful purple. So i went about trying to re-create this beautiful card, and i have to tell you, it's a LOT of work to scraplift. I think it is more work to scraplift than to design it yourself... but i finally managed to get it done. i really had trouble with the sizes, but i made it work. I don't think my purple is nearly as striking as hers was... and i changed my water can to a silver mirror paper (you can't tell from the picture but it really is a silver water can).. thank you so much for sharing your creativity with us Miss Katie.. i made this for my DIL for her birthday, it's not till April 23th, but i will be going on the Cricut Cruise the first week of April, and i have 3 birthdays in April, so trying to get them done before i leave, one down 2 more to go. I am working on my son's, Billy's now, hoping to get it finished in the next day or so. Then i have Alex's.. i can't think of anything for his this year... i did the skull with the rose last year, he really liked it, and it came out of my own little head. IF anyone has any ideas i would love to hear them.. i just finished up Brent's, (his birthday was today) can't wait to show that one to you, that came out of my little head too.. sometimes things pop in there, not very often, but sometimes...

I am not really sure what is going on... but i was reading over on Chris from Get Inspired with Chatter Scene's blog, that Google is pulling the plug on google friend connect for all non blogger blogs?
If you subscribe via Google connect come March you will no longer get updates on my blog via the friend connect. AND i like Chris don't want to loose any of my blogger friends.
She has found a site called Blog Lovin http://bloglovin.com where people can follow blogs. So if you do not use Blogger and want to continue following my blog please try following through that instead. Even if you use blogger you may like to follow blogs using this platform. It puts all blog posts in one spot for you.
So i have added a link over on the left of my side bar so you can still follow me.. Chris is doing a lot of research on this, so you might want to check out her blog about it... trying something new

i have never done a shaker card and decided to give it a try. I search for directions on how to make one and finally found one that i liked that Gina K from Stamp TV had made. (i even had the stamp set)

i have a friend who's mom is dying and i decided to make her a "Burden Bear" and this card... well i had started the card quite awhile back and just never got time to getting around to finishing it. But wanted to give her the "Burden Bear" and the card, so i texted her and asked her if she was going to be at work and maybe i could run by for a few minutes. I had a doctor's appointment early that morning but decided to stop and cut out the little coffee cup, i really didn't have time to be doing this, (it takes me forever to do anything), but for some reason i wanted to get the cup cut out. Well of course i couldn't decide what paper to cut it in and then i cut it too big.. finally got the right size (wishing it was just a tad bigger), and ran to my appointment, when get out of my appointment i get back into the car and see that my friend has texted me and said did i want to meet her at Starbuck's (i don't drink coffee but i usually get a smoothie ) at 11:15am before she went to work... it is now 10:38am and i am thinking i don't have enough time to finish up that card, but what a perfect time to give it to her at Starbuck's.. all i had left to do was glue on the top layer and the shaker part (that i had done already), and pick out the sentiment for the inside and cut it out... i love it when God brings it all together...so here is my shaker card.. i pretty pleased with how it turned out. Wish i would have had more time to ink things up and maybe put some twine or something.. put i am ok with it.

card recipe:

the cardbase is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2

the top layer (i had planned on putting 2 layers but was lucky to get one on) is 4 1/8 x 5 3/8

i used a nesties to cut the window

i used a nesties again for the sentiment inside

stamp set is a Gina K

the little cup was cut from the Love a Latte cricut cartridge
i almost forgot, i put coffee into the shaker

i am not really sure about the sizes - i just had to throw it together

i will have to do another one and note the sizes better i am just so thankful it got done.

Days 180 and 181

yes, i am finally on Day 181... i will be so excited when i reach day 200.. even more excited when i reach day 365.. i always have such a hard time picking out my paper, but this layout just seem to go together really good.. i finally decided on The Nana's Kitchen Stack by DCWV.. i have had this stack forever and have never used it. i always think i am going to use anything i buy.. but have so so many thing that i have brought and have never used. So i was excited when i was able to finally use it. AND Stephanie over at Whimsical Designs is having a challenge where you use something that you brought and never used or haven't used for a long time.. so i think this layout definitely qualifies.. i even used some cartridges i haven't used in a long time... "Going Places" and "Locket Talk" so i am entering this into her challenge. It's a 2 page layout (i just like 2 page layouts better)..

the gas pump is from 'Going Places' and the hamburger is from "Locker Talk"i popped them up with pop dots.. the little tickets are Tim Holz's.. and i inked everything with Tim Holtz distressed Tea Dye ink.

how sad i don't remember where i got the coke from... on the top of the picture i wrote in my handwriting (they say you should add your own handwriting, i don't do it enough) Friend - one who knows, likes and trusts.

i was inspired (like that so much better than scraplifted) from February's Cricut magazine on pages 34 - 35 by Jamie Greene (i tried to find her blog so i could link it, but can't find it) .. i changed my from candy to money (the boys seems to like that better, but i got each of them a box of candy too).. and my sentiment was from Creative Time, 'you had me at chocolate'. i made them something using the Stamping Up treat cups a few years ago and made a trap door in the back so they didn't tear the card completely up, but i am short on time so guess they will be tearing up the card.. i don't have a xoxo stamp so i just did the xoxo by hand. i was quite pleased with how my turned out... thanks for stopping bye and i hope everyone is having a wonderful week...

i just had to scrap lift it.. and Sherri from Sherri's Crafty Place was so sweet to even let me have her .cut file.. They are so so many talented people and all of you are always so sweet to share. Isn't this just too cute? The Bustier is from "Tie the knot" cut at 5.4", cutting the layers at 5.4" also.

i used red mirror paper (i think that's what it's called)... and like Sherri i added stickles in the white.

The gray is really black, don't know why it's showing up as gray.

the sentiment is from Whimsical Designs i think the "with love" set.

I seem to have so so many projects going on, i am working on a birthday card for Brent, a birthday card for Kersti... i have always just worked on one card till i would get it done, then start the next one, but for some reason i have two cards i am working on. And i need to make a birthday cards for Billy and Alex.. Alex turns 21, wow, i don't know how these kids are getting so old. Would really like to make him a special card, but my little mind is a blank.. Still want to try to make the boys a valentine card, and of course i am working on my Project 365, that is just never ending, but one day.

it is one of Monique's kits.. i changed this one up a bit, she had it titled Criuct Stampede, well i didn't get to go to the Cricut Stampede, so i had to re-name it. (i have so many of her kits, it will take probably longer to do all the kits i brought from her as it is going to take me to finish Project 365) if you have ever done one of her kits you know how detailed they are..

i need to figure out the years we lived in Texas.. i am going to but the years in the star.

I finally finished up a card

i scraplifted this from Bobby from the Cricut Couple.. thank you so much for all of your help with it Bobby.. when i saw it i thought it would be perfect for someone that is very dear to me that is losing their home... but Everett said he didn't know if it would be good to give it to them, i am thinking because the stamps say, "Snowball for sale" and "Will work for freezer space"... so now i wonder if i should give it to them... i really liked Bobby's...

Even when you scraplift something it is a lot of work to do a card with this much detail, AND Bobby is so amazing with his cards, but i really had fun putting it all together... but of course i decided i would try to change it up just a tad, you really shouldn't do that when something is already "prefect".. but i did... i decided to give the snow flakes a little snow, then i thought why don't i give the snowman a little too, then i decided i might as well give the little hill the snowman is standing on some snow too.....then i looked at it and thought, "why did you do that?"... i don't know why i did it.. but i did and i wasn't going to re-do it.. so the snow is staying.. (i did add more snowflakes after i took the picture.. )

i put little buttons for his eye and tired to make a carrot for his nose.

The stamp sets are "Winter Wonderland" and "Friends and Neighbors" from My Craft Spot.

when i went to that retreat at Mt. Gilead.. and finally finished it up today... about time i did something, i am not real happy with it but it's done. Thinking i may add a dancing girl over on the left page... AND i have been working a little here and a little there AND you won't believe this but i have 3 cards started.. that is something very different for me, i usually only do one card at a time. I just about have Brent's birthday card done..

This is the page i was thinking of putting a dancing girl, or print out Party???. but maybe not and just call it done... i made the flower from the Flower shoppe, it almost looks kind of lonely there by itself..

i used the printing press to try to make it look like a newspaper...

ya, it definitely needs something. Any suggestions are always welcome. I have another layout that i just about have done too.. my house is an ABSOLUTE mess, but i have been trying to get in a little scrap time. but i am going to have to get this house cleaned up or they are going to come and condemn it..

i just wanted to thank all of you for your prayers... Someone recommended i go to a D.O., so i have been going to her for a few weeks. i wasn't sure what a D.O. was, from what i understand it's an M.D. that has gone on and gotten more training than a M.D. The first time i went to her wasn't too bad, BUT the second time i went for about 2 to 3 days I was hurting everywhere, inside and outside....i saw her today and told her how much pain i was in an she said she was really sorry but I was in such a mess... i saw her again today and she is recommended Acupuncture (she must not have heard what a baby i am). But i have made an appointment to see and TALK to an Acupuncture, we will see.. i do so want to stop being in so much pain.
i wish i could tell you how much it has meant to me that u have taken time out of your busy lives to take a few minutes to visit my blog...
i have been trying to work on Brent's birthday card a little here and a little there. i have a few other things that i am hoping to get started with real soon. AND of course i need to get back to Project 365.

and let you know that i am still here... most of you know i was in a car accident last May, well the drive to DisneyLand just about did me in.. i have been in so much pain since i have been home i haven't done anything... i was hoping to get up today and try to get this house back in order, but it just didn't happen... i need to make Brent, Alex, Billy and Kersti birthday cards... i have an idea for Brent's and Kersti's, (if i can just get to making them), but no idea at all for Alex or Billy... so much to do and so little time. I have been able to stay up with most of you on your blogs (because i am just sitting here).. but blogger has been acting so crazy lately that sometimes i wasn't able to leave comments.. i am still trying to go back and post comments... if i have missed anyone, please know it wasn't intentional.... you are all so amazingly talented. i hope you are all having a "wonderful" Saturday. We are still at Disneyland

we will be leaving tomorrow morning to head home... A 9 hour drive... I wish I could say it was a "Magical" trip, I was so looking forward to it..but it start off wrong from the beginning. We had asked Karen to watch Pete and Sassy, she was very upset that she wasn't going to be able to go - so I tried to find someone else... To make a long story short Karen did watch our little Pete and Sassy, (after making sure I felt bad she wasn't going) Alex was upset because his girlfriend wasn't coming, Brent was sad because Karen was sad because she couldn't come. AND i am sad because no one seems happy.. And of course we had those things that make a vacation a vacation, Alex lost his pass and we spend half the day looking it... Then a few hours later that day he broke his cross bar... ( he had braces a few years ago and they left what they call a "cross bar" in the bottom~ of his mouth.. Well he was getting eating an ice cream and it broke so I have to find a dentist here in Anaheim, but it all worked out, that day was pretty shot.. Today Everett lost my camera... :-(.
The Internet is really slow here, I have tried to post on some of your blogs, but will have to play caught up when I get home...

before i leave for a crop in Rocklin at the Green Tangerine on New Year's Day, then when i get home we are packing the car and heading to DISNEYLAND early Monday morning, (well Everett says we are leaving early.. we will see how early we actually leave).

i have to give Tammy from Paper Pastimes of a Scrapping Mimi credit for this card, when i saw it i knew wanted to try to make it one day, and Everett's birthday seem like a good time to try. When something is perfect, why change it.. but i didn't have her paper so i had to change it up a little.. but her card was so awesome, mine card doesn't do hers justice at all. I used Me and Mine Big Ideas paper, if you would like the sizes you will have to go visit Tammy's blog... you won't be disappointed... i can hardly believe that this year is almost over. BUT i am excited about 2012, i am hoping to finish my Project 365 album, get started early on Christmas cards, (i am so bad i didn't even make one this year), get started early on making some Christmas gifts for next year with my cricut using vinyl, i have so many plans for 2012. AND you won't believe what we are doing... no you will never guess, we are going to DISNEYLAND on Jan 2......is that not a fun way to start the new year.

more gift card i made, and a few pictures i took.. i was so excited i was able to cut out HOPE and hang it on the mirror. it really looks better in real life than in the pictures... all the presents wrapped... Got all the verses on the packages (i print out verses for each present and before the person opens the present they read the verse on their package).. i even got 2 more gift cards done and 3 Rosettes... the dragon Rosette is like the gift cards and the other 2 Rosettes are the same, just different sentiments.. and we got our sugar cookies baked last night.. whew, now if i can just get the house pickup up so it looks clean tomorrow and Friday. We do our Christmas on Christmas Eve, we have tacos, hurry and get the dishes done, then i read the Christmas story and onto the present.. then on Christmas day we have our turkey and just do nothing. I wanted to share my little gift cards and Rosettes.. the pictures didn't turn out, they really look adorable in real life... yes they do. I used Miss Emma's gift die again. And i used Whimsical Designs for the sentiments.

the shadow behind the dragon is a black... it really is cute in real life, i used that red mirror paper

see this Rosette is just a tad different from the first...and i put the bells on wobbes, they are so much cuter in real life, i wish you could see them.

and of course i put the dragons on wobbles...

I have been so busy.. it takes me forever to make anything.. and without my gypsy it took even longer.. i tried using the Craft room and sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't, i finally gave up using it and just used my Expression 2. this is the last layout i did at my retreat. I may be able to complete this Project 365 next year. AND a dear friend of mine Judie from Roseville texted me the other day and her little dog fell into the pool and drowned. :-( I am so sad for her. I made a card like this last year for another friend that her husband lost his blind aid dog. I got my inspiration from Tammy from Paper Pastimes of a Scrapbooking Mimi. She is such a talented young lady, if you have never been by to see her blog i hope you take the time to stop by, you won't be disappointed. But first i am going to make you look at my layout....

and now for the sympathy card i made for Judie, it's so hard to lose a pet.

it's a A2 size card.. i wish i knew then name of the paper. I used a scalloped nesties for the opening. the paw print was cut a 2" and the bone cut at 1" from Paper Pups. I ran the scallop and the bone through the cuttlebug using the Swiss Dot folder.

Oh an i forgot to say, my poor little Gypsy died the other day... i am so sad about it.. now i will have to try to figure out the Craft Room. But i called ProvoCraft yesterday and they said they would put a mailing label in the mail and i should receive it within 5 business days.. would you believe i got it today, so i send my Gypsy off to the hospital, i so hope she won't be there long... i won't EVEN tell you how many cartridges i am going to have to re install... but so thankful she is able to go to the hospital...

from when i went to that retreat... AND a Christmas gift card using Miss Emma's gift card. It was so fun to do something Christmasy. I used the Jolly Holiday cartridge and cut the little elf out at 2.5" and put him on a wobble.. i am really pleased how he turned out, even with all the trouble i had doing it. I love my gypsy but decided to try the Cricut Craftroom... of course i had trouble trying to figure out how on earth to do the layers.. looked everywhere trying to find directions. I had just read the other day that Cindy from Royal Things was really liking the Craftroom.. so i sent her a email asking her how to do the layers.. she send me links on how to do it, but by then i had already done it another way (i am not even going to tell you how i did it, it was a nightmare).. but it is really easy to do... So first my layout:

i just like doing two page layouts.. even though i am struggling so with this Project 365 - but so excited that i have finished Days 171, 172 and 173... go me

in fact i haven't done much of scrapping at all lately.. put thought i would sneak in another of the layout's i did at the retreat i went to.. Days 168, 169 and Day 170... go me... i almost made it half way through last year. The pressure is on to finish it all next year....

Everett had made these steps for a lady,, they really turned out nice... he did a beautiful job on them

I was so excited that they just sent me a renewal in the mail for my drivers license...i wonder if i could have passed the test.. and there's a picture of me and Aunt Eloise..

i am hoping i can get a few Christmas things done before Christmas gets here... i saw an adorable Christmas bouquet that i would love to try to make, (probably won't have time to try to make one, but it sure was cute... i need to make a few gift card holders, and i have Miss Emma's gift card die... so hoping i can do a few of those. AND wanted to print out "HOPE" to put over our mirror in the front room... Will i find time to do these things??? i don't know...

We are decorating the tree on Thursday night... i started wrapping some of the presents today, usually i don't even get started doing that till the 23th... we read the Christmas story and open presents on Christmas eve...

MIA for awhile... i have to take Alex to Santa Rosa Wednesday for his allergy shot (which usually ends up taking the whole day), we are going to try to get our house decorations up this Thursday, and hopeful get our tree this week end. Just so many things that need to get done and so little time to do everything. I will be thinking of you all and will try to pop in every now and then.

i did get the results of my MRI back today, there are a few things that need fixing.. just not sure how we are going to do it... but it explains why i am still having so much pain.

Elements while i have been sick.. i am feeling so much better today. My poor little Cricut feels so neglected. But i have been learning so much about Photoshop Elements and making the cutest projects that i am going to share that i have made taking Jessica Sprague's Mouse, Scissors, Paper class... first is the cutest little bookmarks, i won't tell you how many times i had to re-do an re-do these cute little things, but i finally figured things out and was so excited that i did it: Remember you can click on each picture to see it better.. I am really pleased with how everything turned out.. i just won't tell you how long i had to re-do and re-do and re-do to understand all the steps in working with Photoshop Elements.

aren't they just too cute...and i made them all on Photoshop Elements... i put a little stickles on Santa and in the middle of the flowers...

i opened one so you could see how it open and closed, i used business size magnets..

then i made this adorable little tin, that i almost just didn't do, this was harder than the bookmarks.. but i love how it turned out too. i took several pictures to try to show it all to you. i printed out the do., shop, Note. and the crown and then i put glued marbles over top of them and then put magnets on the backs.. printed out little journal paper (which took me forever to figure out) and then paper for the inside of the tin and the outside... isn't it just too cute.

just trying to show you the paper on the bottom of the tin. AND you are probably wondering what on earth would you do with this? Well i am not sure but i am so excited that i was able to complete the projects.. it's for someone that is a list person.. i really don't know what they will do with it, but it's just adorable...I have two more lessons to do.. it takes me so long to do them because i don't know very much about Photoshop Elements.. the reason i decided to do this class is because i wanted to learn to use the program.

AND i am adding the last layout i did at my retreat, i finished the journaling on the right and decided to show you how it looked.. I decided to type it out instead of doing it in my handwriting because it is such a long poem... I need to get the other layout posted that i did at the retreat. i like the way it turned out....

to show you the beautiful card that the Cricut Couple send me with the cricut cartridge i WON.. i was so excited that it was one i don't have... BUT for some reason it won't let me link it to my gypsy, it keeps saying that i need to update my gypsy which i did... i will have to call ProvoCraft Monday to find out why. AND the card they send is just GORGEOUS... i have always admired their beautiful creations on their blog, but they are even more GORGEOUS in real life. Thank you so much Jill and Bobby. I hope you hop over and check out their beautiful creations, you definitely won't be disappointed.

I have gotten that nasty bug that is going around, so i have just been messing around on my computer. I signed up for one of JessicaSprague's class, of course i am so far behind in it. But being as i haven't been feeling that well instead of trying to clean the house, i have been trying to do some of the lessons.. i did manage to finish one, it's very similar to the WordArt i posted the other day that i did in vinyl. i took this down to Staples and had them print it out on foam board. This how it turned out, i did some distressing on the edges, Everett said he doesn't like the distressed look, i think i kind of like it. i am going to give it to my friend Nancy for Christmas.

This is the poem I had in my layout the other day, Sherry and Sheila had mentioned they would like a copy.. I have had it for so many years, I don't know where I found it or who wrote it.

Build me grandsons, O Lord, who will be strong enough to know when they are weak, and brave enough to face themselves when they are afraid: grandsons who will be proud and unbending in honest defeat, and humble and gentle in victory.

Build me grandsons whose wishbone will not be where their backbone should be; grandsons who will know Thee and that to know themselves is the foundation stone of knowledge. Lead them, I pray, not in the path of ease and comfort, but under the stress and spur of difficulties and challenge. Here let them learn compassion for those who fail.

Build me grandsons whose hearts will be clean, whose goals will be high; grandsons who will master themselves before their seek to aster other men; who will learn to laugh, yet never forget how to weep; grandsons who will reach into the future, yet never forget the past.

i did at the retreat i went to over the week end.. my daughter is coming over and we are going to make our Thanksgivings pies. (she started coming over last year to learn how). i had to have a MRI this morning, (at 6 AM- that's pretty early for me. lol) my back and neck are still bothering me from my accident, so the doctor decided i should have the MRI just to make sure there wasn't something seriously wrong. AND after my retreat i haven't done anything.. AND i wanted to show you the other package that arrived yesterday.. from Carrie over at DoubleConnections. I feel so special. Thank you so much Carrie.

I should have waited to post this layout, i am not quite finished with this one yet.. but wanted to start showing you what i got accomplished at my retreat.

I haven't decided whether to hand write this or type it out so it fits.. thinking i will probably type it out to fit, because it's so long i don't know if i could write it all on this shape... it's titled "Lord build me grandsons"... and ends with "then i their grandmother will not have lived in vain"...

and here's the first layout i did at the retreat, side by side, usually i have so many days on a layout, but this needed to stand by itself, DAY 165... not sure what to do with the picture of me and the boys... but i want to add it there somewhere..

i had a WONDERFUL time

my retreat wasn't at all what i had thought it was going to be... it was kind of one big room that had 4 or 5 bedrooms and several bathrooms in the middle.. whew, so i didn't have to go outside to go to the bathroom.. and they had heaters in the rooms. When i left i told Everett that i probably wouldn't be staying Saturday night.. but i did. The food was awesome and i had so much fun making new friends. i got home around 3pm ish this afternoon.. unloaded the car (didn't put things away - will do that tomorrow) and sat down to go visiting your blogs and just fell asleep... i got at the retreat Friday around 2pm and scrapped till 12:30am, breakfast was at 8am on Saturday and i scrapped ALL day till about 12:30am again. I scrapped from around 9am till noon today, i can't wait to show you all i did, i think i was on Day 156 (around there) and i almost finished up Day 179... it doesn't look like i got alot done, because there are several days on each layout, but i am so excited that i am almost done with Day 179.. can't wait to post them. i just had a WONDERFUL time. AND i had a package waiting for me from Diana over at DL.ART.. i had won her BEAUTIFUL flowers.. thank you so much Diana. AND i got an email from the Cricut Couple saying i had won a prize from them (and they are giving away another CAKE MACHINE, can you believe that.. AND i won something from Carrie over at Doubleclickconnections.. i am truly blessed. Thanks for stopping by to visit, i always enjoy your visits.

i am going to be MIA for the next few days because i am going to go to a scrapbook retreat this week- end... wondering what i got myself into... we are staying in cabins AND there are no bathrooms in the cabins... it's going to be raining and cold. Who knows what I might run into if i have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.. i am more of a hotel kind of scrapbooker... i am sure i will be fine.. Maybe i will even some of my Project 365 done...

i have showed you this card the other day where i used the "Forever Young" cartridge.. and awhile back Shelia did a video on this box (that i also showed you before... and inside are some adorable pumpkin ear rings that i made at Miss Emma's class several months ago... they are so cute, but mine broke and i have been going to the bead store and having the lady there help me figure out how we could get them to still work... (well to be honest, WE really was HER, being as i don't know anything about making ear rings... whew, we finally figured it all out yesterday. AND i made her the little pink polka note cards, still have to figure out what to put those in... AND tonight i finished up the little accordion tag that I saw over at Shelia that she had seen at Bobby and Jill's.. and of course I had to try it.. and I saw someone (and I am so sorry I can't remember who did this little bird house.. I feel so bad not giving you credit for it) that she had made one on the Imagine, but I really wanted my to match the box...so I played around and tried to come up with something similar and here it all is. I also used Miss Emma's "Mail Stamp Set" for my sentiment, "The road is never too long between friends".. i would think my friend will like one of these things that I have made... i wanted you to see how the accordion tag matched the box, then thought all i'll just repost the card and the box too... i hope you don't mind I re-posted some of them.
AND of course i can't find my camera, so i am going to have to try to take the picture with my iphone... thanks for taking time out of your busy lives to stop and and visit me... i so enjoy reading your sweet comments.

i attached a little black and white twine i thought maybe Marti could hang the little tag.. again i am so sorry i don't know where i saw this beautiful tag.. hers was so much prettier than mine.. The bird really doesn't match the tag, but that's the best i could do with it, and to be honest i was done trying to find something that would match...

Cricut Class with Tammy

I went to Redding on Saturday to do a Cricut class with Tammy Skinner, I am sure everyone knows Tammy. What a talented fun person she is.. I had met her at CHA and again on the Cricut Cruise. It was a long long drive to Redding, I had to get up at 5:30am and leave before 7am, it was still dark outside... and I didn't get home till close to 6pm.. so I was pretty tired. AND I was really disappointed that Miss Emma's class was on the same day. :-( I so enjoy going to Miss Emma's, but I had already paid for the classes with Tammy so I had to miss Miss Emma's.. so hoping she doesn't do her next class on the first Saturday of the month. This is the project we did.. It really is cute, I didn't take a bottle of wine with me, so I had to put it on the wine bottle when I got home, Tammy said "anyone can tie a bow with tulle".. well I don't think so, my is lopsided, but it will have to do. A birthday card for my friend Marti

i am still trying to find where all of mine time goes.. i was telling Everett i just don't have any room to do anything, i just have too many cricuts, so we put another small table in the bedroom... i had to take out my dresser (you have to do what you have to do), and you can hardly get into the bathroom, but i have a little space to try and be creative . So i made this card for my friend Marti, i hope she likes it. Be honest and tell me what you think, i don't want to give her an ugly card... that would be so sad. I used the cuttlebug "Happy Birthday" folder, it looked so plain so i added some stickles here and there, if you click on the picture i think you could see the stickles better.

and here's the inside, i used a little strip of the dress to put down the middle.

Well what do you think.. it's kind of growing on me.

I started a new Bible study a few weeks go and i am so enjoying it, it's a Beth Moore study... i am looking for God to do amazing things.

Miss Katie from Crafting with Katie, made me see the error of my mistake of not putting the name of the cartridge that i used to make this set of cards... it was the Teresa Collins Black and White cartridge for the Imagine, I printed out the polka dots in pink... Thank you Miss Katie for helping me see the error of my ways. :-)

It seems like it's been so long since I have posted anything... I wish I knew where my time goes... but I do have something to share with you, and I totally scrap lifted this from our creative Miss Emma over at My Creative Time... She made these a while back and when I saw them I just had to scrap lift them.. thank you so much for sharing your amazing talent my dear friend... I used Miss Emma's "This and That" and "Many Greeting"stamp sets... how sad I can't remember the cartridge I used from the Imagine to print the paper... Thanks for stopping by. doing this.. it was a little difficult because I have only worked with vinyl once.. and had forgotten how to transfer it. So I searched the internet for a video.. but what a job getting all the letters onto the transfer tape then onto the board.. but I think it was well worth all the trouble... and of course Everett helped me... AND a BIG THANK you to Liz over at Liz's Paper Loft for sharing hers.. when I saw it I thought "WOW, I would love to make one of these".. and I did... AND I am so PLEASED with how it turned out.. that am not happy with how it turned out. BUT decided to post it anyway. I am entering it into Emma's Throwback Thursday, you had to use a card feature on an older cart. I used the wrap it up card feature, the house and the witch and bats are from Happy Haunting. I am not going to tell you where I got my inspiration from... lol... it needs something but I don't have time to be messing around with it, so it is going to stay the way it is...I popped up the witch, the bats and the house. (maybe if I had used a patterned paper, I am not going to worry about it, it's done) I used one of Emma's halloween stamps and embossed it. Thanks for stopping by...

Maybe if I put a bow under the sentiment instead of the little stickles.. or some of that tulle Emma uses.. or maybe I will just leave it alone like I said...

posted in so long, i decided i had better just pop in and tell everyone that i am still alive, i have been busy busy, going here and there..(nothing exciting, just taking Alex back and forth, going to see my Aunt Eloise, trying to clean, still doing Physical Therapy, nothing fun). i haven't even done any scrapping, no trips to Rocklin, how sad. :-( hoping to get to do some soon. i have been trying to stop by and visit with you all, and even found some awesome new blogs.. so many talented ladies out there.. i hope everyone has a FABULOUS week. (i just went back and made all my I's to lower case i's... long story why i did that, but i sure have alot of i's .. it's not all about me.. i thought it was about time it was all about me, but it's not...)

The missing Day 159

How sad Day 159 is in the wrong spot... but at least I found it and was able to stick it on this layout... So here's Days 162, 163, 164 and the missing Day 159... I used Elegant Cakes for the font and also for the 2 swirls... used a dark brown ink for the inking... this was a pretty quick one. I showed both of them together because I cut some of the pictures off and wanted you to see the whole thing together......

More Project 365

Oh yes, I am still plugging along with Project 365... BUT I am starting Day 162... about 20 more days and I will be HALF way through... I will NEVER NEVER do this again.. if things go right hopeful I will finish it up sometime next year. So here are Days 158, 160 and Day 161. OH NO, where is Day 159.. I will be right back...I found Day 159.. :-( I can't believe I left it out... what is REALLY bad is I have already started Days 162, 163, 164.. I thought I was being so smart and I worked most of the day on Days 162 - 165... and now I have to squeeze in Day 159.. I can cut the picture down really small, but I have so so much journaling... Darn, I was so proud of myself for working ahead.. I don't have everything glued down, so I can still move things around, it's just all that journaling... and Day 159 is going to be in the wrong layout... Oh well.. forgetting about Day 159... on with Days 158, 160 and Day 161... I used Gypsy Font for the title and I tried to make a cut that looked like Abe Lincoln (doesn't really look like him, but I tired... I cut him from the Heritage cart.

I was trying to be creative here... I used my Crop-A-Dile to punch the hole and then put in the eyelets.. then tied them together with some twine...

Here's a close up of the Abe I tried to cut, maybe it would have looked more like Abe if i had made him skinnier.... Billy has always thought this spot in the bath tub looked like Abe.. I am so upset about Day 159.. I had all those other days all planned out, and how it is going to just be one big mess... :-(

More Project 365

I just don't know where my time goes... but I have finally managed to get a few days of Projects 365 done... very very simple layout.. I couldn't even think of a cricut cut to use for it.. I used the cartridge Quarter Note for the title... I seem to be the picture of the day for Days 155, 156 and 157 so I titled it "All About Me"... I had such a hard time deciding what paper to use, Everett just wasn't any help this time.. lol.. he wanted me to use orange, I said I don't want to look like Halloween..... I am trying to use up some of the paper that I have had forever... Thanks for taking the time too take a peek... hope everyone had a wonderful week end...

I hope everyone is having a FABULOUS weekend.. I have been working on this layout for several days.. it was sort of a kit... I had the directions but had to find the paper.. I had fun doing it.. except for the sentiment,, it needed some fragment pieces and all I had was some that had little holes in the top... I didn't know when I was going to be going some place to buy some, so I tried cutting off the tops of what I had.. they don't look that great.. but oh well..I wish I would have waited.. I used the Forever Young cart. and the Home Decor Solution cart. AND lots of Tim Holtz stuff. AND lots and lots of inking. thank for stopping by.. Now I need to get back to Project 365.... but it's fun to stop every now and then and do something fun.

Aren't those Tim Holtz little corners just too precious...

The swirls (and the flowers with the Tim Holtz little cute gears) are from the Home Decor solutions cart. So so cute, wish I could take credit for designing it, (it's a Monique Kit designed by Wendy).. BUT I feel like it's mine with all the work I put into it..

Isn't this cute, it's a little journal box that tucks under the picture (well where the picture will go)... I put a little Tim Holtz thingy on a tab... so so cute. And you can see the Tim Holtz little music strip that I put there...

When Alex turned 16, he did the driving lessons, and he had one more lesson to do and would have been able to get his driving license, but he decided he didn't want to, and I was ok with that, I didn't really want the stress of him driving, he reminds me so much of his dad (another long story).. so I was fine he didn't want to drive. BUT he did buy a car, but of course couldn't drive it because he had no license. BUT Brent had let a friend use his car and his friend totaled out his car.. about the time Alex got his car, so Alex was letting Brent use his car. Well a few months ago Alex started talking about getting his license.. and I was trying to talk him out of it, I was telling him he would have to pay for the insurance, gas, repair the car if it broke down, that I didn't mind taking him to school.. he had friends that drove etc etc... well I think I talked him out of it.. WHAT WAS I THINKING... I really didn't mind taking him to school, but the last few days I have been taking him here and taking him there and here and there.. the point is for some reason I am driving all day just here in Ukiah and I barely have time to visit your blogs... :-( But I did mange to finish days 152, 153 and 154 that I did at the crop on Friday... the sad part is all I had to do was make the balloons and pop them up... AND we are talking this is Wednesday...

I wanted to use some loud and crazy paper for this layout.. mine are usually so boring.. I think I like it... I started another layout that night but didn't have the right cart. to finish it... who knows when I will get that one done.. Thanks for stopping by.. I always enjoy reading your comments...

Day 150 and 151

I can't believe it took me all afternoon to do this one layout, and it's not even a 2 page layout, because it's the end of May and I wanted to start June on a 2 page layout... I apparently haven't planned this out very well.. I am going to have several empty pages that I will have to think of something to put on (any suggestions what to do with empty pages would be more than welcome) ... I couldn't decide what color to mat Aunt Eloise and me.. it looked so washed out with just the brown.. the poor picture almost didn't make it before I made up my mind. I wanted to go with a blue but couldn't find one that went well.. finally decided on the green, I think it's ok. I cut the BBQ grill from the Block party cart. another one I haven't ever used...at 6"... I added some silver sticklers to the smoke Inked around my journal boxes in dark brown... no title.. but Everett said it was "ok"..

Project 365... I put it off as long as I could. lol. I still have to make another birthday card for my friend Marti, but her birthday is a ways off.. so I decided to get back to Project 365. I will be so glad when I get this done... but sometimes it's kind of fun. I have been trying to use carts. that I haven't used before, so that makes it a little more fun (and to use up some of the paper that I have, I think this is from Creative Memories.. the title was from Songbird, I don't think I have ever used this cart. the bag, glue stick and scissors are from Everyday Cricut. You can't see but i popped up the title (was so pleased I could put a title on this one)... and the scissors and the bag. The thought has been coming to my mind that I might get another perm... but this picture definitely pushed that thought right out of my head.. what a blooming idiot I looked like.

You are probably wondering why i have a line of cars. when I was going home, the traffic was bumper to bumper, so that is why... The graduation hat is cut from Locker Talk, I barely made it home for her graduation.. and the cars are from Summer Vacation, (I thought about making them different colors, but then I thought "NO".. they will look just fine all in black) I have been trying to use carts. that I have and haven't used before. (I can't believe how chubby I was last year.. lol.. Thanks for stopping by, I always love to read your comments... It's not a very exciting layout, but Days 148 and 149 are done...

from Katie from "Crafting with Katie", (but I asked her and she said it would be ok for me to). When I saw it I thought what a PERFECT card for my friend Nancy... Mine card doesn't do Katie's card justice at all.. (in fact mine really looks pretty plain compared to Katie's) I hope you take the time to visit her, she just has talent and creative that just flows out of her... I just did my in black and white because my friend Nancy says she doesn't have a favorite color.. but I am really pleased with how it turned out even though it is plain.... I hope she likes it... I had so much fun doing it. I used the Imagine to print out the paper... (I had to order the stamp set from Papertry ink and Katie had said using the Nursery matched up really good with the sentiment.. so that's what i used for the number 65. (looks like maybe i should have tilted the 65 to the right a little.. )

I have told my "Strawberry" story before, so I won't bore you with it again.. but I just couldn't resist putting it inside the card... with the arrow pointing toward it.. Every time I tell Nancy to look for the strawberry she tells me that that strawberry is dead and gone... I just tell her to keep looking for it.. I hope everyone had a wonderful week end..

went to visit Shelia over at the "She's a Sassy Lady" this morning.. I stayed way to long... but I had a good time. Shelia is such a creative lady, I always enjoy her videos.. I have a friend that will be having a birthday at the end of November (I am planning ahead), She likes giraffes, so I had planned on doing my little project in giraffe paper, but wouldn't you know my giraffe paper was only one sided... :-( I kept thinking I had seen some giraffe paper on one of the Imagine carts. so I started looking and DID find some on the Baby Boutique cart. and printed out a small 4x4 square to see how it looked, it was really dull looking but thought I could print it and flip it over and print a darker brown on the other side and make my own paper... the pattern was too big when I printed out the whole sheet, so then I went through my paper to try to find something... spend way more time than I wanted picking out the paper, then of course I didn't have any ribbon to match the paper I picked out so I had to go to M's to find some ribbon... but I finally got it done...

Miss Emma's challenge

I saw Miss Emma over at "My Creative Time for Me" was having a challenge to win one of her stamps (that I don't have) I have pretty much quit doing challenges.. I just don't do well with them... :-( but anyway, decided last night I would try to come up with something... and my son in law is having a birthday in a few weeks so decided to make him a card.. the challenge is not to use your cricut and to use black, orange and green, and purple.. Well this morning I was putting some things away and saw this stamp (I am not much of a stamper or colorer) but decided to just do it... I get the card all finished and I am all ready to post and then look again and make sure I have everything... I have no purple... so here I have my card ready to post and no purple, so I decided to put some purple stickles for his eyes.. I did a close up of his eyes trying to get so you could see the purple, all you can see is my bad coloring.. I used three colors on these poor monkeys and still couldn't get a good shadow or blending... well I am going to enter it in the challenge BUT it will probably end up in the trash...

I have been busy cleaning and cleaning.. (and have even had time to sneak in a little scrap time, I love it when that happens..) BUT I forgot to post what I won the other day.

ANOTHER window card

Miss Emma's mother had a birthday on Saturday... and since her sweet mother opened up her home to me at the last crop that Miss Emma had, I had to make ANOTHER window card.. this one is a tad bit different. I heard that she liked pink and teddy bears.. so this what I came up with. I hope she likes it... you can see from the side view that I popped up the little bear.. (I saw Katie from "Crafting with Katie" had used him and thought he was just too cute, he is from the Christmas cart. If you haven't been to Katie's blog, you are definitely missing out on some awesome talent, this is one amazing young lady...)

Not a good picture, it really is a little cuter in real life. I used stickles on the Happy birthday instead of glitter. I liked the glitter better but was afraid by the time it reached Stockton it would all be gone..

And again thank you Shelia for your awesome video on how to do a window card... Audrey from Cute and Some did the cutest spinner card ever, someday I hope to make one of those...I just stand in awe of all the talented ladies that I have come to know... Thanks for stopping by.

I was watching Shelia over at "She's a Sassy Lady" on Saturday and she was doing a video on making a window card. She made it look so easy and I needed a birthday card for Alex's girlfriend, so I just decided to give it a try. I started it last night (it takes me so long to make a card) but as I was driving home from church this morning I kept thinking I just didn't like it. So I am thinking I am just going to trash it, but Everett said just finish it and see how it looks then... Shelia had some awesome glitter paper, so of course I have to have some so I ran down to our little Michaels to get some, but they didn't have any... but the girl at the store suggested I try just putting glitter on it... (wish I had thought of that)... so here it is..

and I think it turned out pretty cute.. I am glad I listened to Everett and finished it. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit.. I always love to see what you think...

She just got a puppy a few months ago, so I added him on the card. I popped him up and gave him a little google eye.

another layout that I started at the Green T over the week end and have finished it up today... (I have had so much fun doing these (and Monique's R for Rabbit).. but Project 365 has to get done.. :-( I am not even half way done with it... another :-( But I have had so much fun doing these fun layouts...

I need an S on the end of Friend (it should be Friends).. will add that later (in case you couldn't find where I used my copics I will tell you.. I colored the Best Friend(s) with a yellow copic... I thought the white thickers just blended into the paper and you couldn't really see it.. so I just got out those copics and colored them yellow.. Piglet isn't that dark of a pink in his little face.. must be the light..

I used some Accent Crackle on the tree limp and that is Ranger pearls for the honey... and I added a little shimmer to the bee's wings...

I have been trying to think of what kind of card to make for my friend Nancy for her birthday.. maybe I will use Pooh and Piglet and write Best Friends... hummm it's an idea..

I have finally finished "R is for Rabbit", a kit from Monique.. and what a kit it was. I wish you could see all the details, all the inking and popping on this layout. The little curtains in the windows.. so adorable. AND all the little pieces I had to cut and THEN I had to remember where all those little pieces went. It would have been more fun if I had done it in the class instead of by myself... it's always more fun to do things at a crop, the only bad thing is I talk too much and don't get things done, but I always have so much fun. A Birthday card for a challenge

Whew, I didn't think I was going to get this done before the due date. I won't even tell you all the trouble I had making this. It's Karen's birthday card, I so hope she likes it. AND Miss Emma from My Creative Time is having a challenge using a cart. that is discontinued... so I get to enter it into the challenge...tomorrow is the last day to enter...

It's a 6" card and I used the Bubblegum Stripes cart. and printed out the paper on the Imagine and of course Miss Tinkerbell herself, she was cut at 4 1/2".. I put stickles on her wings. It looks washed out to me, maybe I should have used a different color than pink, but pink is her favorite color... Maybe I should have used some white lace instead of the pink rick rack... I wish I had thought and tried to emboss the sentiment, I have no idea where I got it, but I like it, "Today belongs to you" and of course I put Miss Tinkerbell on a wobble..

"R is for Rabbit" done and posted by now... but I don't. :-( I am so close to being done, if I wasn't going to Napa to see my Aunt Eloise I think I would have it done this week end.. but maybe next week. AND I have got to get busy making Karen (daughter) a birthday card. I have been thinking of TinkerBell (I didn't know that cart. was retired) but I made Kersti (daughter in law) a TinkerBell card on her birthday, I think it turned out sooo cute. AND Miss Emma is having a challenge using a cart. that has been retired.. so I could enter Karen's card into Miss Emma's challenge... wondering how I could change Kertsi's card around just a little... I am sure Karen wouldn't like me to make her a card like I made Kersti.. even though it is just adorable. Well we will see.

You know how the best laid plans go. I was going to spend the night at Judie #1 last night after the Crop in Rocklin... but as I was driving to Rocklin, sweet Alex texted me and asked if I would be able to pick up Alyssa (his girl friend) at the airport in San Francisco .. (she had gone home to visit her parents in Kentucky.. I know this is way too much info. but I am tired) So I keep driving thinking, "Great, I can either drive back home after the crop at 11pm or still spend the night at Judie's and wake everyone up at 5ish to drive back to Ukiah pick up Alex and drive to San Francisco." And I am thinking if I didn't go get Alex and just went to the airport from Rocklin it would save me soooo much driving time. BUT Alex is REALLY wanting to go with me to pick her up, YES, I decided to drive home last night so Alex can go with me to pick up Alyssa. (but I started packing up my stuff about 9:30pm and was on the road by 10pm)... so I made it home around 1:30am ish...but sad I didn't get my R for Rabbit finished.. but I am really close. My disappointments are God's appointments. Hoping everyone has a WONDERFUL weekend..

but wanted to pop in and say I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL weekend. I am going to go to Rocklin today for a crop and hoping to finish R is for Rabbit. I wasn't going to go because it is just to hard to go and come back the same day, but Judy #1 invited me to stay at her house. I usually leave Ukiah around 10am and don't get home till around 2:30am or 3am. AND I don't think it's because I have had a birthday and I am a year older, lol. It's just WAY too much driving in one day.

Thursday night in Rocklin.. I was so excited that I actually got everything cut out to do this layout. It's one of Monique's, it's called R is for Rabbit. I am going to try to get this put together before I get started back on Project 365. There is ALOT of inking to do. And of course I am short on some of the paper. :-( Monique had sold out of this kit but I was able to buy the paper and the directions.. the kit would be so so much easier. But it is so cute when it is put together.. I can't wait for you to see it.
I am playing around with having this post tomorrow.. how fun, we will see if it works.. Liz was trying to tell me how to do it.. We will see if it works.

I finally got home

what a crazy couple of days.. I went to Rocklin on Thursday (3 1/2 hour drive but for some reason it takes me closer to 4 hours ) then drove back home another 3 1/2 hour drive, got home around 1ish am Friday morning, but was so excited I got the R for Rabbit ALL cut out. Got up at 7:30am on Friday morning drove to Santa Rosa, got tires on my car (I have had my Prius for about 2 1/2 years and this is the FIRST set of tires I have put on it.. there was 68,978 miles on that set of tires... can you believe that) then I was off to Stockton to go to Emma's get together...another 3 1/2 hour drive (closer to 4 hours.. but her parents invited me to spend the night.. God is so good, because I don't know if I could have drove home.. my back is killing me. AND to make things worse, I stopped for a potty break and got out of my car and FELL.. how embarrassing several people came over to see if I was ok... and to help me up... I am ok, just skinned up my poor knee really bad. But you won't believe the adorable things we made at Emma's... I wish I felt like putting then on my blog, but they will have to wait.. I can am just too tired. I tried to visit some on my awesome blogger friends.. I see all the awesome creations everyone made while I was gone... hoping after church tomorrow I can come by and visit... Thanks for stopping by.

how many unfinished projects I am getting done. This is another one that I started on the Cricut Cruise.

I think it would have looked better if I had put the pirate over to the left just a tad.. everything just looks so close.. but it's all stuck down and I am not taking it up..wish I had taken a picture from the side so you could see all the popups that are on here... This was cut out from the Imagine. (if anyone wants any of the directions to any of the projects I have been showing, I do have the directions)... Well I hope you like it and thank you for stopping by. I am hoping I can get one more unfinished project done. Karen's birthday is the end of August, so I need to be trying to get her a card made.. it takes me so long to do anything, that's why I am so excited I am getting so many projects done. another post... and I even worked a little cleaning up the kitchen.. go me. This is another project that we did on the Cricut Cruise. I am trying to finish up some of the project that I found while cleaning my scrap area.. (well not all of them because I need to get back to Project 365, but it's fun to do something else for a change) You probably are wondering why I didn't get my project done, and no it wasn't JUST because I was busy talking all the time. There were 2 groups and the group I happen to be in where pretty much newbies. Some of them had never seen a cricut (I wonder why they were there?) So, if i was the only one at the table that even knew what a cricut was, I put my stuff aside and tired to show them how use the cricut.. cleaning and cleaning the last few days. I got my little scrapping area cleaned up, but still trying to re-organize a few things (but we can move around a little in there now). I then went on and cleaned bathrooms, vacuumed and dusted the front room. Never made it to the kitchen, maybe tomorrow.. I don't know, I am tired of cleaning.. BUT I wanted to post something.. and I just about had this completed so decided to finish it up and post it. It is one of the projects that we did on the Cricut Cruise. Sorry there are so many pictures.. but wanted you to see most of it. I am going to give it to my daughter.. I put a picture of her and me in the back. As I was cleaning my little area, I found all the projects that i didn't finish from the cruise.. so I hoping to finish them in between my Project 365.. and i have a few birthday cards that need to be made soon. Days 145, 146 and 147

Every time I get busy and do a layout, I think what is wrong with this... I have struggled since Day 1 on putting this Project 365 together... well I think I have figured out why... I don't put a title on the layout, sometimes I have been able to put one on but most of the time I haven't.. BUT when you have 3 or 4 pictures that don't relate to each other at all it's frustrating to try to link them together somehow. Well that's my reason today... I will probably find another reason next week. lol. But i am going to have to put Project 365 away for a few days... I am in the middle of trying to rearrange my LITTLE scrap area in the bedroom. I had Everett moving the bed around last night at 8:30pm.. because he had to go to work to day and I wanted to try to work getting things in some kind of order.. we can't even walk around in the bedroom.. I don't know if moving the bed against the other wall is going to help... Everett might be moving it back tonight..
Next week is going to be busy busy busy... Alex has an appointment at the college then a dentist appointment on Monday (he is talking about getting his drivers license, yes, I should be happy about that, but he reminds me so much of his dad that I cringe thinking of him driving... just about everytime Billy left the house he would come home and say, "Mom I wrecked the car".... Tuesday I have an appointment with the chiropractor, Wednesday I have Bible study and Thursday I am off to Cricut Club in Rocklin, but Judie #1 and I are getting our toes done before.. how fun. Then I will be spending the night at Judie #1 and we will be scrapping most of the day, then I am heading to Stockton and will spend the night with Miss Emma's parents so I can go to Miss Emma's class on Saturday.. Is that just not too sweet of Miss Emma's parents to let me spend the night. It's about a 3 1/2 or 4 hour drive there from Ukiah so that means I would have to get up at 4am ish to get there by 9am... AND it's just amazing how God worked all this out, Judie #1 and I have been going to Cricut club on Wednesday and I was going to spend the night with her Wed. (it's about a 3 1/2 to 4 hour drive to Rocklin from Ukiah) and we were going to scrap all day Thurs. I was going to drive home Thurs evening (another 3 1/2 to 4 hour drive) and then drive to Stockton (3 1/2 to 4 hour drive) on Friday to spend the night with Miss Emma's parents and then go to Miss Emma's class on Sat. But Judie #1 couldn't go to Cricut club on Wednesday, so we are going on Thursday which means i just leave Ukiah on Wednesday morning, drive the 3 1/2 to 4 hours to Rocklin, spend the night with Judie #1, AND from Rocklin to Stockton it's only about and hour drive...isn't God just awesome...

I used the Hannah Montana cart. for the guitar frame and the notes. (It's strange that I ended up using this cart. Alex happen to see it one time and said "Why did you buy that" from the look on his face I don't think he likes her) It's hard to see the note there in the black, but I wanted 3 notes and that's the only place I could see to put it, if you click on the picture you can see it... I ran the guitar through the cuttlebug "Diamond" cuttlebug folder to give it some character then I decided to cuttlebug the black strips across the page with the "Dotted Swiss" cuttlebug folder and inked everything with black ink... I didn't like this layout at all, but the more I looked at it the more I liked it...AND I hope you like my layout. (I always appreciate any suggestions). Thanks for stopping by and chatting with me. this is my 3rd post for today on the same layout.. First I decided to try to move the cameo up just a little, and that was a job in itself.. it was glued down pretty good, but I was happier with it up just that little bit.. THEN I realize I didn't have the journal for DAY 142.. GREAT, I had wanted to move Mr. Cricut but had decided not too.. well he got moved, but not where I wanted him, I even thought about making Mr. Cricut just a tad smaller to squeeze in the journaling for Day 142 , but I so liked him bigger. I am surprised that this layout is still together with all the moving around of everything... i am not as happy with it as I was before, but I HAD to put in the journaling for Day 142.. so this is it.. You know how much I have dreaded doing my Project 365. Well I have decided to try to enjoy doing it.... It's been fun picking out the paper I am going to use (and ACTUALLY using paper I already have), deciding what Cricut cuts I am going to use...etc etc. I am disappointed the cameo is so low.. put it stuck before I could move it up.. AND I am not real happy with both the journal boxes together.. but Days 143 and 144 are done... I used the Picturesque for the corners, if you click on it you can see that I cut out the shadow in yellow, you can just see a hint of it... Mr Cricut is cut from Cricut Everday, isn't he just too cute, I have him popped up. And the cameo that is too low is cut from the Heritage cartridge, I cuttlebugged the gold paper behind it.. (I hope you click on that, that looks really nice).. well I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL weekend. Thanks for stopping bye..

It was a job, but I managed to get it unglued and moved the cameo up just a little.. Don't you think that looks better? The left side looks a little hazy because I have the paper protector on it and didn't take it off... now I am wondering if I should have put Mr. Cricut on the other side of the picture...no I am not going to move him.. but I bet he would look better on the other side of that picture...

my back hurt so bad yesterday, even after I went to Physical Therapy. But when I work up this morning it wasn't hurting, BUT I was afraid to do anything to make it start hurting, I don't do pain very well. I had planned on vacuuming the front room but decided to pestered Donna from Popsicle Toes about where she thought I should put the flowers on the layout I posted the other day... then I sat in my chair and just read a book till it was time to take Alex to the Chiropractor. Everett came home and I showed him this AWESOME table that I had seen on Emma's blog.. and what a cool table this is. He IMMEDIATELY told me we didn't have room ANYWHERE in the house to put it. Well that isn't what I wanted to hear. I tried to tell him I thought we could make it work, but he kept shaking his head telling me it wouldn't fit anywhere.. I finally convinced him to at least think about it.. I still can't believe he told me "no"...
Yesterday I had gone down to Michaels and brought some flowers to put on my sister grave... So I drove to the cemetery this evening and put them on her grave I just can't believe this is going on the 3rd year that she has been gone... I think she would like the flowers....

if you saw my bed you would tell me to get off this computer and get that mess cleaned up.. I have been trying to find a way to store ALL my cartridges... I have tried several and they just didn't work out well for me.. so I am trying another way. So I have empty circuit cartridges boxes ALL over the bed, the floor, just everywhere... and I am not kidding and now I have to go cook dinner. I could fit more into each container if I put them in sideways, but I want to be able to see what they are.. I could write on the top of each of them, but if you only knew how many I have you would understand why I don't want to write on each one of them... I think I might like this arrangement.. I hope I do, I have spend a fortune on all the containers... I am storing the booklets in something else, not sure what yet but I am ok with them not being with the cartridges... I am going to alphabetize them.. and also the booklets.. What have I gotten myself into?

And in between emptying out all the cartridge boxes I stopped every now and then and finished up DAYS 138, 139 , 140 and 141... I am not real happy with this layout, I used Lacy Labels for the center and Locker Talk for the laptop, the laptop really isn't pink, I used a silver mirror paper for it.

I am re-posting it because I am entering it for the Imagine DT... I know I won't be picked because there are so so many AWESOME talented ladies out there.. I almost didn't even enter it, but I had so much fun making it and I LOVED how it turned out, AND it is SO ALEX that I decided to just enter it... thanks for taking the time to stop by and look at it again...

Card Recipe

I made it a 6x6 card, using black cs as the base. The first layer was a piece of red paper that I popped with pop dots on the cs. Then using my Imagine, I flooded a 6x6 square with the skull paper from the JT cart. (it's so cool how the Imagine changes the size of the design on the paper with the size you chose), I distressed it and inked it up really good with black ink, instead of using ribbon I decided to try using some twine on it, Everett said it looks like a cob web.. Alex might think that is cool. Next I cut the skull at 3" also using the JT cart. (I have used this cart. sooo much - it is definitely a good guy cartridge) I cut it once in black to use as a shadow and then again in the pattern paper. AND then I used Liquid Glass on the black parts to give it a nice shiny effect, I think it really makes the skull pop AND then I attached the skull with a WOBBLE. I love these. The sentiment was also on the JT cart. but it was in the blue color and I couldn't change the color of it, so I decided to just print out the sentiment on my computer using my nesties to cut it out. And then I used the Country Carnival cart. to cut the rose at 1".. I also used the Liquid Glass on it. I think he might like it... I am pretty pleased with it

Days 135, 136 and 137

Wow, today was one of those days that you just go and go and go.. I went to my Physical therapy this morning at 8:45am then ran home talked with Everett for a few minutes and then headed out for a doctor's appointment at 11:40am... home again to get Alex to take him to the dentist and then to his guitar lessons and then off to try a new Chiropractor, then home in time to go out to have dinner with my friend Marti, I haven't seen her in so long.. then when I got home Everett and I had to run down to Safeway... But I had finished up this layout the other day and wanted to get something posted... I know you are all probably tired of seeing my Project 365... but that is mostly what I am doing... I took a little break to do the rockets but now I am back to it... I am so hoping to get to Day 150, I don't know why, it's not half way but I really want to get to Day 150. I still have to finish that layout that Judie #1 and I worked on... There just isn't enough hours in the day....

I try to use a circuit cut on my Project 365, this time I managed to use 3, I cut out Pete peeking over the box, you can see him in the corner of the picture and of course I cut out the Cake machine I WON.. and poor little Sassy, she is getting so old...

I saw these over at Linda's at The Paper Boutique and just had to try to make one for the boys.. they are a bit too old for something like this, but I just thought they were too too cute. . This is what I did at Circuit Club on Wednesday night, and I actually finished it. I have to decide what photos to put in the mats. Thinking of giving it to Karen and putting a photo of her when she was a baby, then her senior picture and a picture of her and me.. I don't know.. but I thought it was such a beautiful kit.

I love the flower BUT was it difficult to figure out..

And I loved the sentiment..
I didn't get the layout done that Judie #1 and I worked on Thursday... it is such a simple layout, I can't believe it took us all day and we didn't get it finished... BUT she texted me and told me she finally finished hers that night... Maybe I can work on mine a little today.. but my house is calling for a little attention today..

I have to say I really had fun working on this layout. It was so amazing to see God working in Brent's life, and it made me think, this is why I am doing this Project 365.. so someday (hopefully) my family will look at my albums and see the amazing things God has done...
I had a hard time deciding on a circuit cut for this page (I usually do), but finally came up with just putting a car on it.. so being as I have a Prius, I tried to find a car that would resemble my Prius.. So I get it done and show it to Everett and he takes one look at it and says, "it looks like a Volkswagen", I give him the LOOK and say, "Everett, it's a scrapbook page and I don't have a cart. that has a Prius on it.. " so he comes back with, "it's only a 2 door".. (mine is a 4 door).. I just looked at him, smiled and walked away. I think it turned out just too cute.. then I had to put a little dollie around Aunt Eloise and me to dress us up a little, and added just a little bling. Finally I was done and looked at it and decided to add a arrow pointing from the car to the picture of the gas milage I am getting.. I am taking WAY too long with getting this done.. put I am starting to have a little fun doing it. I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you leave me a comment..

Again the rules are to tell 7 things about yourself.. I just don't think there is anything I haven't told you about me.. but I am going to try to think of some new things...

1. My son, Billy, and I went on a mother/son trip after he graduated from high school just before he went into the Marines... he was the baby.. and I was so sad... he used to write me and tell me if they did something good they would award them with a phone call home (this was before cell phones).. so I wouldn't leave my house for fear he might do something good and he might call home and I wouldn't be home.. well this went on for quite awhile.. and I guess God was getting tired of the way I was acting, so He gave Alex to me... (Alex was 4 lbs an 12 oz when I brought him home)... well I didn't have time to cry about Billy anymore... I could write a book on all this...

2. Number 1 was probably more than you wanted to know. lol

Most of you know that I homeschooled Alex for 10 years.. and when he graduated from High School I found the circuit and have just gone crazy buying things and going places

3. I am very blessed that God has allowed me to raise both my grandchildren.. (I can say that now that they are grown..)

4. God is still working on me.. and He still has a lot to do.. I am thankful He hasn't given up on me.

5. And God truly blessed me with Everett... he raised both my children then allowed me to take in both my grandchildren and raise them.. and he supports me in my craziness for the circuit.

6. I have so many circuit cartridges I don't want to count them.. and I want to buy more

7. I will be soooo glad when I get my Project 365 done.

I am suppose to pass these on to 5 more amazing bloggers.. BUT this time I am passing them on to ALL of you.. I have learned so much from each one of you and each one of you has enabled me to want to buy MORE stuff. lol.. Toy Story finished

Wow.. it finally worked.. I tired forever to get these to post this morning and they wouldn't post, I was so afraid I had pushed something that shouldn't have been pushed.. but it must have been Blogger.

So, here is the finished "Toy Story"... if you remember awhile back I had posted all the LITTLE pieces I had to cut out.. and then I lost some of them and had to re-cut them.. then poor little Bullyeye got all messed up and he had to be cut out again... BUT I finally got it all together and took it out to show Everett.. (I don't know why I do that lol) and he looks at it and says, "well you had better get some pictures in there".. I was going to someday, but just not right now.. he saw a picture of the boys hanging in a frame on the wall and said,"copy that one".. so I had to remember how to scan the picture and make it print the size that I needed.. then he said, "and you should copy that one too (the one with the boys and me) to put on the other side.. So I got all that done and then he said, "don't forget to write on it"..

When Toy Story came out, McDonald's (or it could have been Burger King, I think it was Burger King, but I am not changing the journaling.. it's going to be McDonald's).. of course the boys wanted to collect all the Toy Story characters that came with the kids meals.. we only have one McDonalds's and we needed 2 sets of all these characters.. so when we would go see Alex's dad in Tacoma, WA, we would stop at EVERY McDonald's from Ukiah CA to Tacoma, WA and stop at them again on the way home.. both the boys got their sets of characters from Toy Story. I love how it turned out..

Project 365.. will I ever get it done??? I have been doing 2 page layouts.. but this one is just a one page.. because the book is so big I have to start another book.. Everett is probably right, it's going to take me 5 years to get this done. So here we are with Days 130 and 131.. the dogs and cats are cut from the Animal Kingdom cart.. I have Chipper stuck up in the corner of Sassy's picture, don't quite sure what to do with him... I don't know why the picture with Brent is so dark.. he is holding Pete and Sassy.. you can't even see Sassy in his lap. The background paper looks pink, but it's really purple, I tried to match Brent's sweat jacket that is purple and black strips.. but you can't see it that either.. I thought about taking another picture of it.. but you will just have to trust me that Sassy is there in Brent's lap with Pete.

now I am off to try to finish up that "Toy Story" layout that I showed you all the pieces of awhile back... Thanks for stopping by...

Just because

I finally played with my Expression 2 (that they gave us on the cruise) last night.. it took me awhile to figure out how to use it.. and I used the "Just Because" cart. that I have never used and wondered why I brought it.. but as began working on the card, I thought, "this is kind of cute".. so here it is.. I cut the everything at 4.5", everything was inked with Tim Holtz's distressed ink.. and added some liquid glass to the sentiment and the red part of the wagon.. some cracked accents to the wheels.. popped up the wagon and the sentiment and added some twine. I think it's kind of cute..as I look at it, I wish I would have used a embossing folder for the background.. oh well, next time. Thanks for stopping by. I always love to read your comments.

I am feeling better and better.. sometimes I almost feel like doing something... lol... I have been busy trying to get my house straightened up the past few days.. I am soooo close to having it look half way clean. I am actually now working on my scrap table.. I was hoping to have time to do the advanced calibration on my Imagine today.. but it doesn't look like I will have time. I have to make a fast trip to Santa Rosa.. hoping I can start doing some scrapping tomorrow, Katie from Crafting with Katie has made a video on how to cache a pattern with the Imagine and I am so anxious to try to do it.... I hope everyone has a FABULOUS week..

Billy's fathers day card

I am so excited that I finally was able to get something done.. I haven't felt much like doing anything since my little "accident"... but yesterday I almost felt human.. and I was going to try to clean up this house a little but then I thought Fathers Day was this Sunday, so I decided to forget cleaning the house and get Billy's Father's Day card done, I worked all day on it, and when I got it done, Everett informed me that Fathers Day wasn't till the 19th.. AND to think I could have cleaned house instead of scrapping.. I am really pleased with how it turned out. I had been trying for a few weeks to think of something to make for Billy and nothing would pop into my head.. finally I thought of a chair and trees, an island.. relaxing.. and this is what I came up with.
Then while I was at the Circle Crop, I saw a card that Emma from "My Creative Time" had made.. it was just way to cute.. I really like how she had laid out her card, so I used her layout... and this is what I came up with... (you just have to check out her darling card.. she used a Peachy Keen stamp, just too precious- it was a get well card)
I am not sure where I got this paper.. I have so much paper I will never use it all... lol. the more I thought about using a chair and trees, (which are from "Life's a Beach" cart.) I thought it would look cute to have the background paper be some kind of map .. so as I was searching through all my paper I found this and decided to go with it... The stamp is from Scrappers Mom... I embossed the palm trees with the cuttlebug distressed stripes.. and used Tim Holtz ink to ink everything up, the little bottle is from the "October 31" cart.... As I was making the little chair for the front of the card, I saw one of the legs was gone, well you can't have a chair with only one leg, so I cut out another one and then thought, huh, wonder if a black chair would look better than the brown one, so I cut out a black one, but decided to go with the brown.. so I instead of throwing away the little chairs I put them inside... I hope Billy likes it...

Big winds

We were having some really strong wind yesterday and several branches of a tree fell onto our cable wire yesterday about 12:00pm and knocked out our Internet and TV.. :-( We thought they would be out to get it fixed- but after a few hours Everett called to see when they would be around to fix it.. he listened to a recorded message saying they knew some areas were without service etc etc he called back again around 5pm and was told it was too late for anyone to come out.. But someone would be out tomorrow morning...Everett called this morning and they said they wouldn't be here till probably Tuesday.. I have been stopping by a few blogs and leaving comments but for some reason on some of your blogs it won't let me leave a comment onyour blog with my iPhone...but I have been able too stop and see all of the BEAUTIFUL creations everyone has been making..but I do have to say it is a little difficult using my iPhone... I don't watch much TV but i do love to go on to the Internet BUT i am thankful it was just the cable that got down knocked. So many people have lost their homes and loved ones back East where all the tornadoes and flooding has gone on, so I shouldn't be complaining. Hoping everyone has a BEAUTIFUL Sunday...hugs from Ukiah

ACTUALLY had FUN working on this layout and I pretty much had it done before my accident. I was looking on the Circle Blog today and saw they were doing a tic tac toe Monthly challenge AND I have everything I need on this layout to enter.. a flower, a cuttlebug emboss folder and a pattern paper printed off the Imagaine.. so I am just going to enter it..

I flooded a WHOLE sheet of 12x12 paper on the Imagine using the Elise cart. (I have never flooded a whole sheet of 12x12, usually just a 6x6 sheet.. so that was kind of fun, then I used the Easter 2010 cart. to make the dollie from the beautiful orange paper that I flooded with the Imagine and it matched so well with the background paper that I was using, that I have no idea where I the background paper from...but I really had fun flooding the paper, I love how it turned out...then I inked up the edges with Tim Holtz's ink. Using the 50 States cart. I made this beautiful red carnation, I don't know if you can see, put it is kind of popped up (sad it is going to get all crushed in the album..) and of course I inked the edges with Tim Holtz ink again.. I ran the stem through the cuttlebug using the Herring Bone folder to give the stem a little more dimension. Then I got my Simply Charmed cart. that I haven't used in forever.. I had the idea of trying to make a application form.. but it didn't quit turn out like I had planned... and for "The City of Ukiah" I used the Base Camp cart... Wow I used 5 cartridges on this layout... So I am done with Days 127, 128 and 129... on to Day 130.... Thanks for stopping by...

As I was going

though my Project 365 album last night I saw I had never put a sun on Day 105... (I am actually working on Days 127, 128 and 129 and getting close to having those done) so today I made the sun for this layout... I was so excited to use the Imagine "Enjoy the Seasons"cartridge... I am always excited when I can use a cartridge I haven't used.. (I have soooo many that I have yet to use). I am really pleased with how it turned out... you can't see it but I put stickles all over the sun and the sunglasses (if you click on the picture you can see the stickles a little). don't you think this is the cutest sun ever? I just had to show it to you.. now back to Days 127, 128 and 129.
I did go to the chiropractor this morning... I hurt worse when I left then when I went in... he said I would hurt more for a while.. he is wanting to see me again on Wednesday and then Friday... hopefully in a few weeks he will have me feeling like new.. Thanks for stopping by.

Nothing to post

I had really thought I would be back to normal by now... but my head, neck and lower back are still giving me some trouble.. I usually don't take medication, but have been taking Advil just so it takes the edge off the pain.. Life goes on even when you aren't ready for it too. I had to miss going to see Aunt Eloise last week, but went Friday and hurt all the way there and home. It feels like my head isn't on right, like I need to take if off and put it back on at a different angle.. that probably doesn't make any sense, but that is how it seems when it is hurting... I have an appointment with a chiropractor tomorrow morning so I am really hoping that he can fix whatever is messed up.

I did start Day 127.. didn't get very far with it. AND I worked a little on making some calling cards for the Circle Crop on June 3rd, I plan on going, pain or no pain (hoping with no pain).. didn't get very far with those either...

It looks busy.. but

I kind of like it. I just about had this layout done before my little accident. I haven't done ANYTHING scrapping or housework.. I have been afraid I would hurt more if I did anything... but decided to try to finish this up today, all I had left was to glue everything down.. I am still sore and have a terrible headache but doing better, and I want to thank each one of you for your sweet concern... I can't tell you how I appreciate all of you.

So here is Day 126 and that leaves 239 days to do.. One of the pictures was of the college and the other of Alex wanting a ride to the college so I decided to go with this paper, I think it's Stamping Up, it really looks busy but I am ok with it... I cut the flowers from the Country Life cartridge. I think it need a strip of black paper somewhere.. but decided to just glue it down and be done with it. I was really getting into working on my project 365... I posted a layout (if you want to see it scroll down a few posts) I was really kind of pleased with how it turned out, I would love to hear your feedback on what you think, I think I am getting better with it, I really don't like doing it, but I am determined to get it done. I even got out more pictures and was looking for paper to use for the next layout.. BUT sometimes God wants us to take time to let our bodies rest, it seems like I just go and go and go... so as I was going to Bible study on Tuesday night, there were 2 cars that were stopped ahead of me.. so of course I stopped, BUT the truck coming up behind me didn't see all of us stopped.. so he ran into my car.. the other cars had just started to move so I was blessed not to run into them. He hit me so hard that his license plate is imprinted into my bumper... I am fine, my car isn't but it can be repaired, I am just really really sore.. they gave me some pain pills but I don't do well with pain pills so I ended up spending ALL day Friday throwing up. They then gave me some muscle relaxers that seem to help, but make me really really dizzy for about 45 minutes.. I am feeling better today and have enjoyed going to my dashboard (that I forget about) and visiting blogs I haven't visited in a long time... there are so many talented amazing people out there... So the rules are to tell 8 things about myself.. I am sure you all know everything there is to know about me by now... I don't know if I can think of 8 things you don't know, but I will give it a try.

1. I drive a black Prius

2. We used to take the kids to DisneyLand and I always (sorry Melissa) dreaded going, they say it is the happiest place on the earth... but when we used to go, no one seem to be smiling, they were yelling at their kids.. etc. BUT for the past 2 years I have been wanting to go so bad...but no one wants to go with me. :-(

3. I eat more than I used too and I have lost about 22 pounds

4. I am a implusive buyer

5. I love to play games.. but I am a bad loser

6. Everett and I will have been married 33 years in October (I wonder sometimes how he puts up with me)

7. I believe prayer is powerful

8. AND most important I am so thankful that God isn't through working in me..

I finished another layout... I just did Day 121, 122 AND 123 (of last year)... Of course I thought it was going to be really quick and easy. In fact I thought I had it done last night and was gluing everything down today and discovered that I didn't have all the pictures that were suppose to go with these days.. so I started re-arranging and thought I had it.. then found another picture that had to go with it... even though I hate doing this Project 365 and wish I had never started doing it I am kind of pleased with how these two pages turned out...I will be sooooo glad when I reach DAY 365.. but hopefully I am learning something by doing this.. I try to add at least one circuit cut into each layout.. this time it was only the butterfly and the title... (I haven't been titling the pages because the days don't go together but it worked out this time... hoping I can make it work again.. I like it better with a title.. I used Elegant Cakes for the title, isn't it a pretty font.)
